Application of the Letter from Birmingham in the War in Syria Essay

Application of the Letter from Birmingham in the War in Syria - Essay ExampleMartin Luther and his patron Abernathy Ralph had led demonstrations against laws that promoted the segregation of the black people in the States. According to the law, Martin and Abernathy were supposed to get a permit to conduct the demonstrations. However, they cave ined to get the permit and that led to his seize (King 34). The church clergy had responded to his arrest on the same day that he was detained in Birmingham prison arguing that both the white and black people should obey the accomplished laws in the country. Luther wrote the letter with the aim of justifying his disobedience of the law by arguing that it was the unjustness of the law that made him to demonstrate. Luther argues there are just and unjust laws, besides the existence of unjust laws anywhere leads to injustice everywhere in the letter (King 36). Kings separation of just and unjust laws may be utilise in the analysis of the way in Syria and recommend on the actions that should be taken to end the war in the country. Martin argues that a regulation is just when it concurs with the laws of God, which he calls the ethical rules. Unjust laws, on the other hand, are those that are not based on the moral laws of God. Thus, according to King, laws are fair when they are welcome in the whole society because Gods rules are equal to all citizens despite their race and color (Tiefendbrun 68). This argument aimed at informing the kingdom that the segregation of the black people who lived in the southern offsets of Alabama was an unfair act that was against the will of God. The segregation of the black people comm entirely cognize as the Negros had been in the country since the eighteenth century when slavery of Africans and Asians was practiced in the western nations (King 25). King also argued that injustice in any part of the country led to unfairness in the whole nation. This meant that the injustice that exis ted in the southern part of the nation led to the unfairness in all regions of America (Tiefenbrun 70). Luther also meant that the segregation of the black people was a sign of immorality of the whole nation including the whites. This indicated that the white people would be considered as immoral change surface when they acted fairly in other things in the south and in other regions in the country. This means that even if nations and people conduct themselves in all things withdraw one, they will still be unfair and they will lack development. King demonstrates this by giving the example of how Africa was moving towards independence at a lavishly speed while America was wasting time segregating the black people. The activist argued that Americans were lagging behind by taking the longest time to serve Africans only a cup of coffee (King 79). This meant that the injustice of the laws would cause injustice in the country by slowing down freedom and development like that which Afric a and Asia were experiencing at that time. Martin postulates that the oppressors who are mainly the leaders do not award the minority groups their freedom voluntarily (King 80) Therefore, he argues that there is need for civil disobedience by the oppressed groups to force the leaders to grant them their moral rights. This argument justified Kings act of disobeying laws by conducting demonstrations instead of negotiating with the leaders. He further justifies himself by pronouncing that he was tired of being asked to wait for negotiations. Luther argued that the word wait had become a synonym of never because he and his fellow Negros had heard it for numerous old age before deciding to disobey the law (King 82). Thus, according to Martin, leaders should award their people with justice on time to avoid the disobedience of the law. However, when the leaders fail to create fair regulations, they should be reminded through

The arteries can to a fault becomes diseased due to other conditions like polyarteritis, aortitis, connective tissue disorders, congenital anomalies like anamolous coronary thrombosis artery origin, coronary artery malformation and fistula formation (Zevitz, 2006). Atheroma or atherosclerosis is the patchy focal deposition of plaques in the intima of the arttherosclerosis can affect any artery in the body and coronary arteries are at maximum risk for development of the disease (Maseri et al, 1992). Atherosclerosis begins to develop in the second or third tenner of life. There afterward it gradually progresses. Monocytes which circulate in the blood migrate into the intimal layer of the arteries. After reaching there, they take up low density lipoproteins after oxidization in the plas ma. These are then known as lipid-laden foam cells (Zevitz, 2006). When these foam cells die, lipids are released which develop fatty streaks on the intimal wall. This triggers migration and proliferation of the smooth muscles of the artery wall to form plaques. Over a period of time, collagen rich fibrous tissue surrounds the plague and forms mature fibrolipid plague. These plagues are dangerous because they can either rupture or create a fissure on the intima, allowing blood to enter the fissure. Entry of blood causes disruption of the arterial wall which leads to compromise of vessel lumen, thrombosis and also vasospasm, all of which contribute to decreased blood flow through the vessel. Rarely, the rupture of vessel can cause complete occlusion of the artery resulting in knowing coronary artery syndrome (Zevitz, 2006). There are several risk factors which can cause ischemic heart disease, the most which is advanced age. This is because as the age progresses, the surface and t he number of plaques increase. Other risk factors include male sex, family history of ischemic heart disease, hypercholesterolemia, hyperlipidemia, smoking, obesity, hypertriglyceridemia, hyperfibrinogenemia, sedentary lifestyle, diabetes, hypertension, low levels of antioxidants, and poor eating habits (Zevitz, 2006). Ischemic heart disease can manifest as one or more of the following angina, heart failure, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias and sudden death. Of these angina and myocardial infarction are common. angina occurs due to imbalance between oxygen demand and blood supply to the heart muscle. The most common manifestation of angina is chest pain (Alaeddini and Shirani, 2006). angina is caused due to chemical and mechanical stimulation of the sensory afferent nerve endings in the myocardium and coronary arteries. The main mediator of angina is adenosine (Alaeddini and Shirani, 2006). Whenever atherosclerotic plaque decreases the lumen by atleast 50 percent, angina manifes ts whenever there is increased oxygen demand. When more than 90 percent is blocked, angina manifests even in rest (Alaeddini and Shirani, 2006). Investigations useful to constitute angina are graded exercise stress test, stress echocardiography, myocardial perfusion scintigraphy tests, Coronary artery calcium scoring, electrocardiogram, stress electrocardiogram, ambulatory electrocardiogram, selective coronary angiography and intra-aortic heave counter pulsation. Main treatments include nitroglycerine, betablockers, calcium channel blockers,

This may be floating which means it changes from day to day or it may be pegged to another which means that it may have a certain amount of its cash held in another currency. The former is volatile while the latter is more stable since their setting is by the presidential enclosure fiat. Aguirre, A., Ferreira, A. & Notini, H., 2003 The rallying rates have been experiencing fluctuations in different regions of the world and this has had major impacts in these regions which have involved the private sector as well as the government and in some cases the government has had to play the role of the private sector so as to stabilise the rate. In this context the change rate snarf has been on the fore front and this has had adverse effect and implication s on the economic activities as well as the social aspect of the people in these regions. The heave if the unlike exchange tinges the foreign direct investment FDI. This is an international flow of capital that provides the multinational organisations and companies with control over foreign affiliates. The foreign exchange fucking influence both the total FDI and the allocation of this investment across different countries. The increase reduces the countries production costs and the wages relative to those of the foreign country. This means that the value of its currency depreciates relative to that of the other country. This means that the overall rate of return to foreigners is increased and this contemplates the overseas investment projects in a country. The increase in the foreign exchange may be sometimes anticipated and this will leads to higher costs of financing of the projects due to worry rate parity conditions. In these cases, multinationals opt to fund their overse as projects from the local kit as financing from the local become relatively expensive. This covers their monitoring costs and even the capital that keeps on increasing. The unpredictability of the exchange rates affects the production flexibility and also the risk aversion. There arises a problem where the producer produces the goods without the knowledge of the exchange rates as they affect the rate of production and the actual level of employment. Where there was risk aversion, the investors demand that they be paid compensation for the risks they incurred as the higher exchange rate raises the discrepancy of and lowers the certainty. In this case therefore, the high rates of exchange tend to raise the values of the investment projects and due to the high costs the profits are reduced. Goldberg and Kolstad, 1995 The Australian bank decided to leave the rate of cash unchanged, while the central bank highlighted on its ability to lower the benchmark of the nations interest rate so as to ease the inflation pressures. Fig 1 Graphical illustration of Australian Interest rates from January 2004 through January 2010 This rising exchange rate leads to the tightening of the monetary policy. This in effect raises the interest rates to higher levels which are visibly seen to rise faster in the short force than in the long run. The result of this is that the foreign investors hold foreign assets because of the increased rate of return on the national assets with the tightened monetary policy and they expect that the domestic value will fall in future. There arises foreign debt due to the high appreciation of the real exchange rate. These may make the local currency to reach parity against the foreign currency like it was for the euro against the dollar between Australia and US. A leader is the individual who has the power to take all important decisions of each organization, including the design of its strategy and the keep of all its activities (Grisham 2011). The behaviour of leaders is not standardized since ea ch leader has his unique experiences, skills and perceptions. In fact, it has been proved that the development of an effective leadership strategy is depended on a series of factors. Most commonly, the socio-cultural and economic environment but as well as the objectives of the organization are the criteria on which leadership decisions are based. In addition, a leadership strategy needs to be feasible in terms of available resources. At this point, the following issue appears stomach the effectiveness of a leader beingness influenced by the geographical region in which his decisions will be applied? In the literature, a distinction is made between domestic leaders and international leaders. The activities of the former are limited within a particular area the leaders of organizations that operate only locally belong in this category. International leaders are those who can be involved in leadership decisions related to the global market (Marquardt 2000). In other words, a leader ship is made international when referring to the global environment of an organization, meaning not only the needs of the organization in regard to its activities in a foreign country but also the challenges that the organization has to face in the global market competition, cultural differences and regulatory framework are the most common challenges of this kind. The differences and similarities of domestic leaders and international leaders are analytically presented in this paper aiming to show that domestic leadership requires different skills and competencies than the international leadership. For this reason, the appropriateness of individuals to act as leaders domestically or internationally can be evaluated only if reviewing carefully their skills, as responding to the demands of each of these two leadership types. 2. Requirements of international and domestic leadership in terms of leadership skills and competencies 2.1 Leader - characteristics In order to be successful as a leader an individual needs to have certain qualities. In practice, the characteristics of leaders can be highly differentiated under the influence of their personal experiences and perceptions. Still, there are certain requirements that leaders need to meet (Maxwell 2005). A leader who meets all these requirements can be considered as fully successful in regard to his role (Maxwell 2005). It should be noted that leadership, as a role, can incorporate many a(prenominal) phases. In each of these phases a leader should meet different requirements. These phases can be set in a hierarchy, and would be the following, starting from the lower train a) Position, b) Permission, c) Production, d) People development (Maxwell 2005). Each of these phases has different requirements for example, in the first phase followers simply execute the orders given to them because they are obliged to the tyrannous leadership style

Globalization and Its Effects on Mexico Essay Example for Free

Globalization and Its Effects on Mexico EssayMexico has the size and assets which could contri howevere to wealth and prosperity within their borders. The nation has the consequence longest border with the joined States, significant oil resources, and the 11th largest population in the world. Mexico underwent whole the necessary free market changes to help support globalization despite initial resistance, but they are yet to complete the interior microeconomic makeover they drastically need. Mexico has many things working for them but continue to underperform when it comes to global power and economy, China out performs Mexico for low-cost manufactured goods and India is often the target for outsourcing jobs and services over Mexico (Biggs, Shiess). After sustained pressure from the United States and the International fiscal Fund, Mexico decided to change their global economic stance to one that supports the free market. They changed their economy to one based upon exports, t hey eliminated most tariffs while lowering others, attracted foreign station investment and private state assets, and finally reduced government spending. These steps were hiren at an effort for Mexico to join in on the economic benefits of globalization, but Mexico simply finished half of the necessary adjustments necessary for economic prosperity. (Biggs, Shiess) Many residents of Mexico may blame their tasks on issues such as the drug cartels, the lack of lineament jobs, or lack of foreign investment. Although these ideas may contribute to the problems that control Mexico, they are not the true reason. After Mexico completed their globalization efforts by using the ideas of macroeconomics, they had only completed half the necessary adjustments to truly compete as an economic superpower in the world today.(BBC News)Mexico has failed in great part due to their pigheadedness and interior corruption to evolve their nation from that of an above average Latin American Economic po wer, to that of one on par with most European nations, China, India, and the United States. The second half of the puzzle that Mexico is missing relies heavily on the ideas of microeconomics. Mexico never created the level playing field for companies within their country and is greatly powered by monopolies which ruins an economy due to lack of competition and innovation. For Mexico to begin to succeed in the free market needs to put resources into banks, education(specifically on technology), mechanisms which will support quislingism between competing companies, and most importantly new laws to disallow the monopolies which control Mexicos economy. (Biggs, Shiess) Until these steps are taken Mexico remains a country which can be overwhelmingly difficult to do business in, which turns away the majority of investors, and people looking to expand companies into different countries. It is not a good sign when fit to the International Finance Corporation Mexico ranks 75 out of 183 cou ntries in the world for ease of starting a business. (IFC)Around the year 2000 when the globalization motion was fully set in motion, Mexico was going through an extreme change in their political stance as well. This was a major problem for Mexico, nonetheless though the economic changes which were drastically needed were happening outside Mexicos borders it is a very difficult task of changing their political institutions at the same time of changing economic institutions. Mexico continues to stand where they are rather than take a step back to allow for future gains, for example Mexico continues to rely on their state owned oil giant Pemex instead of bringing in new companies and investors for an attempt at innovation and competition in their oil industry. (Biggs, Shiess) Until Mexico decides to take a small hit and clean house in regards to their current internal economic stance companies will continue to avoid Mexico at all costs. Startup companies need stability in a politic al and economic system, and until Mexico is willing to offer that and put in place fair trade laws, give tax laws, and economic regulations they will continue down the same road.Mexico is greatly reliant on their petroleum exports this has been called the Resource Curse by many experts. The problem lies in that when they started to nationalize their oil resources, they needed foreign investment to refine petroleum into oil as they lacked the local monetary resource to do so themselves. This results in some economic benefits due to other countries purchasing crude oil for themselves, but the process remains to be quite draining on what could be the road to economic prosperity. Mexico needs to mine the crude oil, export it to outside nations where they can refine it and then re-import it as gasoline. (Biggs, Shiess) The biggest problem that their fossil raise colony will bring upon Mexico is that the country is relying on the industry, and because demand and prices are high Mexico has no reason to start new industries. Oil is a fossil fuel and resources are diminishing, and when they are gone Mexico will not be in even rougher shape than they are currently.Mexico is at the crossroads when it comes to their economy and what direction those in power want to take the country in. As of right now the globalization efforts sustain helped the Mexican economy but due to lack of funds and a change in political scenery at the same time Mexico was unable to fully capitalize on the free market. They may have helped their trading relationships with outside countries, but not enough was done within their own borders to disallow corruption and monopolies. Mexico is stuck in place until they take the necessary mindless term economic downfall to get the full rewards from globalization. With the constant changing of political motives, problems with drug cartels, and corruption the chances of new businesses starting up is slim. Without new businesses to move competition the economy will continue to rely upon oil to sustain the countrys economy, but eventually the oil resources they have will tolerate out and lead to ultimate turmoil within Mexico.Works CitedBiggs, Cate, Ami Shiess, Kelly Korenak, Linda Chang, and Laura Neumeister. How the Maid Made a Difference Essay Example for Free

How the housemaid Made a Difference EssayMaid in Manhattan is one of the many Hollywood movies which portrayed the typical fairytale banalitya love that went wrong but with the couple eventually ending happily ever after. The movie rose above the usual chick flicks in the industry through its capitalistic twist, nonetheless. Marisa Ventura, the hotel maid and single mother from the Bronx, and Chris Marshall, a successor to an American political dynasty, crossed paths and consequently fell into each others man queen and hearts. The on-screen chemistry of the two artists, as well as the romantic, light, and interesting flow of the plot evidently captivated millions of audience worldwide. Not many, however, might have seen the mien of a deeper elaboration of significant and pressing issues in the movie. An allegory regarding ethnicity and culture, Maid in Manhattan was successful in revealing the ongoing plight of Latin immigrants in the United States. Due to their dark-br suffe r skin color, native tongue, and diverse beliefs, these individuals have been usually employed in blue-collar jobs, as depicted in the movie. The hotel in which Marisa worked in was headed by purely albumin Americans, with brown-bloods like her assigned for housekeeping. When Marisas friend pushed her into applying for the vacated managerial position, she initially declined due to the fact that black or brown was and still be to be the opposite of white in terms of class status. Aside from the manager application scene, a number of other portions in the movie clearly showcased the same idea in order to emphasize the continuous emergence of cultural inequity. Marisa and Chris romance flourished despite their differences in ethnicity and culture. It is necessary to none, however, that during the jump time Chris saw Marisa, he did not take notice of her since she was merely a hotel maid cleaning the senatorial candidates bathroom. Once Marisa donned the white Dolce and Gabbana suit o f Caroline, one of the hotel guests, Marisa turned from ugly duckling into a beautiful swan in the eyes of Chris. This, indeed, is an example of commodification of identity. According to Knadler, this idea signifies the strong power of products and commodities in developing a political representation in society.Unfortunately, however, the political voice and visibility of an American usually depends on his whiteness or fiscal capacity. As shown in the movie, the physical appearance of Marisa greatly affected how Chris admired and understood her. In addition, it seemed that if the politician met Marisa as her real self, the profoundness of her political opinions with observe to issues such as electoral publicity and housing programs would seem less believable and significant for him. Hence, it can be said that intelligence is inevitably match to neighborly class.Carolines friend Rachel also judged Marisas intellectual capacity during another suite scene. Rachels remark that Marisa knew only little face for she was of Latin descent visibly portrayed political prejudice based merely on the difference between skin pigmentation. This kind of misconception is known as victimization ideology, the power and misrepresent of vital social institutions to clear weakness in a certain class or group (Faun). Unfortunately, this power and control is rigd by monetary value. The financially deprived thus continue to end up as underdogs in the field, leaving them lower than they already are.Nevertheless, these conflicts should not be blamed solely outside the group of American immigrants. They, too, are internally outlawed by their own political and social inhibitions. Brown-bloods like Marisa wise(p) to depend too much on the norms readily open in the society that they everyplacelook the fact that these norms are merely standards these do not put yet only inform them how they should live their lives based on a historical point of view that is not their own. It was Ma risas mother, though, who was significantly captured by these biases and dissimilarity that she was the one directly trying to put her daughter down. She saw Marisa as a housekeeper and only as a housekeeper for, according to her, that is what the society has supposedly established for Marisa. This limited and narrow outlook regarding ones concept of self is hence determined and shaped by both outward and inward influences. Maid in Manhattan successfully utilized the abovementioned scenes in order to bring forth an image explaining how cultural differences greatly affect social and working relations to its audience. However, the counsel in which the viewers comprehend this image is dependent on what group these people hail from.In my opinion, if it were a white-skinned audience, these specific scenes may imply how American immigrants are dedicated to their jobs, whatever this may be. Conversely, if those who are watching this film are of the same heritage as Marisa, then their perc eption of the movie would be fairly different. In my opinion, the movie serves as a venue for American immigrants to shatter borders and to assimilate themselves with the white culture. This act of multicultural integration remains to be their aspirationtheir dreamin a world divided by money and power. Moreover, the brown-skinned audience would very much appreciate a film regarding their own social and political plight. Despite the white-washing of entertainment nowadays, films like these are still produced in the attempt to introduce the culture of the Latin descent and to communicate convert in society (Ethnic). Visibility in Media is indeed a positive and necessary step in order to create more purposeful grounds for the harmony and amalgamation of ethnicities. This multicultural integration in Maid in Manhattan is denoted by two symbols, both related metaphorically to Chris and Marisas marriage. premiere is the actual bind of person-to-person through matrimony. In the context of the movie, nevertheless, the connection established was between and among races. This signifies the mergence of people, no matter what their skin complexion is, where they came from, or how much they earn monthly. In addition, the main characters marriage represented the unity of ideologies and cultures that define both parties. Individuals may co-exist with each other despite the differences of their beliefs, traditions, and lifestyles as long as they learn to compromise and adapt to each others way of living. These two concepts of marriage in Maid in Manhattan uphold egalitarianism, a social philosophy advocating the removal of inequalities among people (Weebies). Though the battle for human and racial equality is still not completely won, there will always be hope not only in the future but in ones self. Although we serve them, we are not their servants. What we do does not define who we are. What defines us is how we rise after falling, shared Lionel, Marisas co-housekeeper in t he hotel. Indeed, classes may rise and fall. Mistakes may be done once or all over again. Money can change or damage.Love can make us happy or sad. Whatever occurs in our lifetime, one thing remains the same we are all humanshumans like everyone else, humans who can make a difference. We just have to believe that we can create our own identity and destiny.Works CitedEthnic and Visible Minorities in Entertainment Media. Media Issues. 2008. The Prosecutors by Gary Delsohn Essay Example for Free

The Prosecutors by Gary Delsohn EssayThe Prosecutors by Gary Delsohn, depicts American justice at its best and worst, It reveals the secrets of the current judicial system with information that be more awful and realistic than any small screen show or any thriller. The Prosecutors gives an insight into the real-life police forceful dramas that are seen daily in our courtrooms. It informs, alerts, amuses, and even makes us angry at times about the miscarriages of justice, entirely eventually shows in harsh detail the particulars that go into the work of our legal system. Gary Delsohn, was for the first time allowed access to spend a year in a metropolitan prosecuting attorneys office. The author presents a fascinating secret manifestation at how Americas more overstrained legal system really operates. Perceived by John OMara, a hard-hitting, cynical homicide chief, and Jan Scully, a proficient District Attorney, The Prosecutors, illustrates these committed civil servants at work. The cases that these two people come across in this integrity-year are unforgettable, a simple robbery that goes bad breaks down a family forever, an acclaimed rectify is aerated for the execution of instrument of his own daughter. A twenty-five-year-old bitter case blows up and brings terrible pressure and inquiry to the D.A.s office, which involves Patty Hearst and the SLA (Symbionese Liberation Army). A top-ranking state prosecutors son faces a possible death sentence for abduct, rape, and slaughter. The most intriguing cases of all these were definitely the 1975 robbery and murder case at the capital of California-area bank. Its this SLA bank robbery case that clearly stands out in The Prosecutors, and understandably so. For almost twenty-five years, the family of the victim, a 42-year-old mother of four children, who was fired at and killed during the robbery, had time-tested hard to bring the killers to justice, the family members had always suspected the killers to be associates of some puzzled terrorists who abducted the newspaper heiress Patty Hearst in 1974.But Myrna Opsahls family members never got any respite from the case, because the office of the regulate attorney couldnt get adequate proof to try the case, even after Hearsts 1982 journal revealed, what had actually exactn place at the Crocker National Bank in April 1975. For the Sacramento County Sheriffs Department and the Sacramento district attorneys office, the Carmichael bank robbery is one of those hideous failures that just wont seem to go away, (Gary Delsohn). For John OMara, the homicide chief in the district attorneys office, the case is terrifying, with no proper proof and unsatisfied family members of the victim, particularly one of Myrna Opshals sons, Jon Opsahl. He wouldnt let the case pass on and frequently disapprove of the Sacramento prosecutors for messing up the case.OMara is one of the important and most vibrant character in the book, although in the beginning t he book port rays him as a picture of a graying prosecutor. But Delsohn supports his portrayal of OMara, presenting why a person with so much knowledge was so perceptive of taking the SLA robbery case. In the end, its Delsohns access to the district attorneys office, which gives us much information about this case and how the law operated during that time.Taking the case of the Bread Store trial, a failed theft that twisted into a murder when the accused, Rick Brewer, an ex-convict who had formerly stalled the same setting, fired from a scattergun into the stores manager Jason Frost, after finding out that the whole amount from the days proceeds had been put down in a bedeck safe. The Bread Store case is symbolic of the vulnerabilities that prosecutors must go through when they take the trial of murders anywhere in the country, considering this lawbreaking murder where the person who drives the car in which the accused escapes is as guilty as the person who committed the crime.Tak ing the case of Nikolay Soltys, the security guard who was an immigrant from Ukraine who stabbed six of his relatives to death, which included his three-year-old son and pregnant wife. Prosecutors had a tough time when Nikolay killed himself to avoid trial. An average day in a city District Attorneys office is tough, where work can take its toll on the people who do it. Most of the cases coming into the DAs office are slaughter children inflicted to child abuse, rape, robberies, drug deals, and fake funds rackets. It is a never-ending process of new crimes coming in day to day. This type of work cannot even be taken home and shared with your family. The prosecutors envisage about crimes, while sitting, standing, eating and drinking, these people are not even spared during their lunchtime, passing on shocking snaps of the crime scene. A prosecutors personal credit line is a tough nut to crack, as their relationship with they families get soured, because of their spending long hours i n the office almost on a daily basis.During the trail of his stay at District Attorneys office, Delsohn reminds us that trials have become very rare these days. More than eighty five percent of the 36,000 crimes and misbehaviors charged every year by the Sacramento DAs office ended up with a plea agreement before the trial, as settlement. In the DAs office at Sacramento, it mostly differs depending on who the in charge people are, but sometimes there is a strong and rarely unnoticeable competition between the sheriff, the FBI, the local police and the district attorneys office. But comparing the state attorney general and U.S. Attorneys office, the enmities and self-esteem battles can be unpredictable. Particularly the district attorneys office should do proper investigation before impulsively accepting what the police and feds say, about who should be detained and charged. Prosecutors have to keep the police under keep to see that the case is prosecutable and concrete. Bad things can happed if prosecutors lose their independence and doubts.Gary Delsohn feels that the most important part of being an insider in the DAs office for a year was that, he had the advantage of seeing the prosecutors working procedures in a manner that the media and an average outsider could not. The District Attorneys office has been a witness to innumerable heartbreaking stories over the years, but theres hardly anything to compare with the moving release that comes after a long, stress filled murder trial, when the murder victims family finally speaks. The DAs office is always humming with people, people who are related to horrible crimes, people who are innocent, but mistakenly accused of crimes, real criminals and their families etc.Works CitedGary Delsohn, Inside the DAs Office, Jurist, 22 February 2007.http//jurist.law.pitt.edu/forum/forumnew126.php.Critic Reviews, Redding Book Club, 22 February 2007.http//bookclub.redding.com/reviews.cfm.The Prosecutor, Traveling Sounds.com, 22 February 2007.http//www.travelingsounds.com/Title.aspx?titleId=3212.Court tales make an arresting read, Rocky Mountain News, 22 February 2007.http//www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/books/article/0,1299,DRMN_63_2164233,00.html.
